The fine levied on teachers over the past two years amounts to ₹1.5 crore, of which ₹48 lakh is for Class 10 and ₹1.02 crore is for Class 12.
However, a fine of ₹55 lakh is yet to be collected from a total of 2,657 teachers, which includes ₹13 lakh from 787 teachers in Class 10 and ₹42 lakh from 1,870 teachers in Class 12.
Upon being asked about the steps taken on these due fines, Pansheriya said that schools and District Education Officers (DEOs) of the respective teachers have been informed regarding their due fines from Mar 2022, while teachers with fines due from Mar 2023 have been issued a notice.
Before levying the fine, responsible teachers are consulted and taken into consideration in the fine proceedings for such errors.
