Three students working on lithium battery injured after blast at Sarkhej apartment

Three students working on a lithium battery project were injured after a blast and subsequent fire at the Savvy Strata apartment on L J Campus Road in Sarkhej, Ahmedabad. The incident happened around 3 am on Wednesday.

Emergency response was initiated immediately, and the blaze was brought under control before it could spread further inside the flat. The youths sustained burn injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. 

Residents of the apartment also reported the incident to the police.

Following the fire, strong resentment has emerged among local residents over the issue of paying guest accommodations in residential societies. Locals alleged that over 90% of the flats in the area are being used for PG purposes.
