Four killed in chemical firm blast in Ankleshwar GIDC

A blast at a chemical factory in Bharuch’s Ankleshwar GIDC on Tuesday claimed lives of four workers.
According to reports, a severe blast took place during a chemical process at Detox India Pvt Ltd in Ankleshwar’s industrial area.
Four fatalities have been reported in this incident. Police and factory inspection teams have initiated an investigation into the matter.
As per initial information, the incident occurred while a chemical process was underway. A steam pressure pipe burst, causing severe injuries to the workers present, leading to their deaths on the spot.
Following the incident, the factory inspection team rushed to the site to investigate the cause of the blast.
Questions have arisen regarding the repeated occurrence of such incidents, highlighting concerns about adherence to safety standards.
Last month, a fire broke out at Vadodara’s IOCL factory, claiming two lives.
