The election for the president and vice president of the Chhotaudepur Taluka Panchayat turned controversial after the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) alleged that three of its members were kidnapped during voting on Saturday. Despite the allegations and heavy drama, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the election.

According to AAP leaders, all 13 party members had reached the Taluka Panchayat office on the Polytechnic College campus to vote. They claimed that 10 to 12 masked men attacked their members and forcibly took away three AAP members in private vehicles. The incident happened in the presence of police.

After the incident, AAP workers protested outside the college gate and raised slogans against the administration and police. Family members of the missing leaders also accused the police of not taking any action during the incident. They said democracy was being harmed with political support and demanded that the missing members be found immediately.

Police officials later reached the spot and tried to control the situation after tensions increased on the campus. Security was tightened around the Taluka Panchayat office to avoid further clashes between workers of both political parties.

The incident has created strong political reactions in the district, with AAP leaders demanding a fair investigation into the alleged kidnapping and violence. The issue is likely to become a major political topic in the coming days in Chhotaudepur district.

The final result, BJP candidate Rameshbhai Rathwa was elected president of the Chhotaudepur Taluka Panchayat, while Surjbhai Rathwa became vice president. Meanwhile, in Kadwal Taluka Panchayat, AAP member Raman Shankar Baria received 8 votes and won the president’s post, while AAP got 7 votes.
