BJP announces candidates for 9 taluka panchayats, 72 municipal seats in Ahmedabad district

The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced candidates for 9 taluka panchayats and 72 municipal seats in Ahmedabad district, with the list released on April 10 as part of preparations for the upcoming local body elections.
In this second list, candidates have been announced for Viramgam and Dholka municipalities, while names have also been announced for taluka panchayats in Viramgam, Dholera, Bavla, Mandal, Dhandhuka, Dholka, Daskroi, Detroj, and Sanand. Earlier, the party had already released candidate lists for Surendranagar, Aravalli, Vadodara, and Vav-Tharad district panchayats, municipalities, and taluka panchayats.
A notable highlight of this list is the inclusion of minority candidates. The BJP has fielded 3 minority candidates in taluka panchayat elections Shamsuddin Pathan from Virochan Nagar (Sanand), Taufiq Umadiya from Bajarda (Dhandhuka), and Qayamuddin Sidani from Viramgam.
Additionally, 9 Muslim candidates have been given tickets across 3 municipalities, including 2 in Viramgam, 6 in Dholka, and 1 in Bareja.
