Microsoft founder and philanthropist Bill Gates, who is currently on his tour of India, is likely to visit the Statue of Unity in Gujarat’s Kevadia today.
According to sources, little to no information about his visit has been provided to a selected number of people at Vadodara airport and to the staff of the Statue of Unity.
Sources suggest that Gates will arrive at Vadodara airport and will ride a private helicopter to Kevadia. Jagdish Vishwakarma, Industry and Protocol Minister of Gujarat, is likely to be present with him.
No one else will be allowed entry to the Statue of Unity campus at the time, said sources.
Gates is likely to return to Vadodara Airport and leave for Jamnagar to attend the pre-wedding ceremony of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.
Before this, Gates visited Nagpur on Feb 28, where he shared the video with internet sensation Dolly Chaiwala, captioning it, “In India, you can see innovation everywhere…”
According to sources, before Nagpur, he went to visit the slums of Bhubaneswar in Odisha, where he interacted with the locals.
