Bhupendrasinh Zala utilised MLM networks to dupe investors

Investing in the multi-thousand crore scam committed by Bhupendrasinh Zala, who lured investors by offering high returns, the CID Crime learned that the scamster used people involved in multi-level marketing (MLM) to execute the misdeeds.

Zala allegedly offered the MLM leaders higher commissions to lure people to invest in schemes offered by BZ Finance.

As per sources, over 500 MLM leaders were involved and crores of rupees were collected.

CID Crime has revealed that Zala and Mayur Darji, who worked for him, had met MLM leaders in North and Central Gujarat and offered them investment. These MLM leaders were given an additional 1% commission compared to others.

Not only that, these leaders were offered sponsored tours to Goa upon bringing in investments worth ₹10 lakh or over. Many of these MLM leaders went on such trips twice in one year, according to reports.

Many MLM leaders used to hold many meetings for Zala in small villages and easily got investments ranging from ₹50,000-₹2,00,000.

Overall, Zala had created an army of about 3,000 agents and had collected an amount of ₹6,000 crore from the investors.
