‘Bhoora Dada’ creates ruckus at Geeta Mandir police chowki, video goes viral

Panic gripped the Geeta Mandir ST bus stand area in Ahmedabad late Monday night after a man, identifying himself as Bhoora Dada, stormed into the police chowki, hurled abuses in public and damaged property. A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media, drawing sharp criticism over the audacity of the act.
According to police, the accused was seen shouting obscenities and repeatedly kicking the locked door of the chowki before fleeing the spot. Onlookers filmed the incident, and the footage quickly spread online.
Acting on the viral video, the Kagadapith Police registered an FIR under Section 324(3) and 296(B) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with provisions of the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act.
Officials said that the accused has already been identified and efforts are underway to apprehend him. “The man created an atmosphere of fear by calling himself ‘Bhoora Dada’ and openly abusing in public. We have taken cognisance of the video and the accused will be arrested soon,” said a senior Kagdapith police officer.
The incident has once again raised questions about the vulnerability of police outposts and the growing trend of miscreants attempting to showcase defiance on social media platforms.
