On the occasion of Ashadhi Bij, the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath is being celebrated at Ahmedabad, Bhavnagar, Rajkot, Kheda and Aravalli in Gujarat.

A controversial episode occurred during Bhavnagar’s 39th Rath Yatra where a chariot displayed sensational banners and posters of illegally constructed Rajkot TRP Game Zone fire tragedy in which 27 people were charred to death. 

The banners read, “In the fire at Rajkot game zone, the future of India was burnt in the fire of corruption”.

The Bhavnagar police removed all the banners of Rajkot's TRP Game Zone fire tableau.
