Bhavnagar woman dies during Amarnath Yatra; dead body to be brought back after post mortem
Around 30 Gujaratis are suspectedly stuck in the valley

As weather conditions worsen in the valley, another incident of a Gujarati’s death in the Amarnath yatra surfaces. Shilpa, a woman from Bhavnagar’s Sidsar in Gujarat, suffered a tragic death in the lower valley after being stuck on the pilgrimage to Amarnath as the weather conditions deteriorated.
She had travelled on the pilgrimage through a private travel company. Her dead body has been shifted to Srinagar for a post-mortem and will be brought to Bhavnagar after the formalities.
30 Gujaratis feared to be stuck on Amarnath Yatra
The pilgrims on Amarnath Yatra anticipating the pilgrimage of the holy ‘Baba Barfani’ have been facing the wrath of terrible weather conditions, which are insurmountably deteriorating in parts of Panchtarni and Pahalgam.
Among them, there are 30 Gujaratis feared to be trapped in the mountainous valleys. The stuck Yatris had recently released a video seeking help from the Gujarat government. In a similar incident a while ago, a person from Vadodara’s Vemali village suffered a terrible death by freezing to death while on the Amarnath Yatra.
