Bhadarvi Poonam Fair: 5500 additional ST buses deployed in Gujarat to manage festive rush

Ahead of the upcoming Bhadarvi Poonam Fair, the Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) has announced arrangements to manage the heavy rush of devotees traveling to Ambaji.
From September 1 to 7, GSRTC will operate 5,500 additional buses across key routes to ensure convenient and affordable travel for pilgrims.
According to Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi, a team of 4,000 staff members will be deployed to manage operations, supported by 24×7 GPS monitoring to ensure real-time tracking and passenger safety.
Special mini-bus services on important feeder routes will also be deployed. This includes 20 buses from Gabbar to Ambaji RTO, 15 buses from Ambaji to Danta, and 20 buses from Danta to Palanpur.
The additional fleet will cover major routes linking Ambaji to Gabbar, Danta, Palanpur, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, and Surat, among others.
The state will also set up facilities such as temporary sheds, drinking water points, public toilets, banners, and mic-based announcements to assist passengers.
