Baby monkey rescued near Saraspur temple amid scorching heat in Ahmedabad

In a heartening example of compassion towards animals amid the intense summer heat in Ahmedabad, a baby monkey separated from its mother was rescued near the Mahakali Temple in the Saraspur area on Tuesday.
According to local residents, the infant monkey had been stranded near the temple for a prolonged period and was repeatedly crying in distress under the scorching weather conditions. Concerned by its condition, residents and the temple priest alerted animal rescue volunteer.
Following the alert, the Animal Life Care rescue team rushed to the spot and carried out a careful rescue operation. Rescue workers said the monkey appeared frightened and weak after being separated from its mother.
The team administered first aid to the dehydrated infant monkey and provided feeding and emergency care at the site before stabilising the animal.
After the rescue, the infant monkey was handed over to the Forest Department for further treatment and rehabilitation.
Local residents appreciated the swift response of the rescue team, stating that the incident once again highlighted the importance of compassion and timely intervention for distressed animals during extreme weather conditions.
