Auto driver stabbed after confronting men who threatened son in Bapunagar, 4 booked

A 45-year-old autorickshaw driver was allegedly stabbed after he confronted four men who had threatened his son over a trivial issue in the Bapunagar area of Ahmedabad on Dhuleti day, police said.
As per the complaint filed at Bapunagar Police Station, the incident occurred when the complainant’s son had gone out to purchase colours for Holi celebrations. The accused allegedly threatened the boy following a minor altercation.
When the boy informed his father about the incident, the latter went to question the men and seek clarification. However, the situation escalated, and one of the accused allegedly attacked him with a knife. When the complainant’s brother intervened, he too was assaulted with the weapon.
Police said the attack appeared to have been triggered by a petty dispute that turned violent. Both the autorickshaw driver and his brother sustained serious injuries in what police described as a life-threatening assault.
The injured were initially taken to Shardaben Hospital and later shifted to Shalby Hospital for further treatment. Their condition is reported to be stable.
An offence of attempt to murder and other relevant sections have been invoked against the four accused. Police said efforts are under way to apprehend the suspects, and further investigation is in progress.
