AUDA announces 2024-25 budget with highest outlay of over ₹1,600 cr
The budget has the highest outlay till now, which crossed the ₹1,000 cr mark for the first time

Days after Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC)’s budget announcement, the Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) on Feb 23 announced the financial budget for 2024-25 with an outlay of ₹1,624.96 cr.
The budget has the highest outlay till now, which crossed the ₹1,000 cr mark for the first time.
A total income of ₹1,705.42 cr has been estimated this year.
₹800 from plot auctions, interest income of ₹50 cr from beneficiaries of affordable housing scheme, ₹135.07 cr allocated for development, ₹18 cr fee income from Gandhinagar Urban Development Authority (GUDA), and ₹16.12 cr from township.
State allocated funds
The state has allocated a total of ₹258 cr to AUDA for various projects, including ₹100 cr for Jetalpur lake development, ₹100 cr for the ADB project, ₹35 cr for infrastructural facilities, ₹5 cr for the Jal Jeevan Mission, and ₹18 cr for the affordable housing scheme.
AUDA has applied for a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for infrastructural development. In the first phase, ADB will approve a ₹300 cr loan for the financial year 2024-25.
Important projects in bags
AUDA has allocated ₹250 cr for the town planning development of roads, including the 3.25 km stretch of VIP road connecting Shela Auditorium on SP Ring Road to Sanskardham in the Manipur area.
The six-lane road is to be constructed on a 7.28-kilometre stretch of Ahmedabad-Kalol road.
₹100 crore will be spent on the development works of the Kamod flyover at SP Ring Road, Memadpur road crossing, and Science City Junction.
