Registry of Bengali workers living in Gujarat to be prepared after the ATS operation
Three Al Qaeda terrorists working as craftsmen in Rajkot's Soni Bazaar were nabbed by Gujarat ATS earlier this month. This incident unravelled a major lapse - the association did not have a registry of Bengali craftsmen working in the city's Soni market. In light of this, Gujarat police came into action and released an order for associations in the state to prepare a registry of craftsmen and workers employed in various cities in Gujarat.
Police have taken cognizance of a large number of unregistered people living in various units across the state, which include the garment industry in Surat, various GIDCs and ports in Kutch, etc.

They came to Rajkot from West Bengal. However, suspicions are being made about whether they infiltrated India from Bangladesh or not.
