At least three women were injured after an AMTS bus met with an accident near Delhi Darwaza on Saturday afternoon.

The incident took place when a tempo driver allegedly rammed into the rear of the bus on the Kalupur bridge, leaving the tempo driver severely injured.

According to officials from the L Division of the traffic police, the accident occurred around 2 pm when the AMTS bus, carrying around 15 passengers, was struck from behind by the tempo.

The impact caused panic among the passengers, with one woman sustaining facial injuries. She, along with two other injured women, was rushed to a hospital in an emergency ambulance (108 service), police said.

The tempo driver suffered serious injuries and was also taken to hospital for treatment.

Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
