Another social media influencer dies by Suicide in Surat

A 23-year-old model from Surat killed herself by hanging on Sunday. Upon learning of the incident, the police reached the spot, carried out an investigation and sent the body for postmortem.

According to preliminary information, 23-year-old model Anjali Varmora, who lived in the Athwa area of Surat, ended her life by hanging herself using a cotton cloth. 

After the police were informed, a team immediately rushed to the location. Authorities are now examining her mobile phone and other belongings. However, it is yet to be confirmed whether a suicide note was found or not. 

Earlier, another model living in Saroli, Surat, also died by suicide reportedly due to stress. The news of her death had left her family in shock. Police had begun their investigation into the matter.

In that case, 19-year-old Sukhpreet Lakhwinder Singh Kaur hanged herself using a dupatta tied to a ceiling fan in her cousin’s bedroom. 

A native of Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, Sukhpreet had arrived in Surat at her cousin’s house just four to five days earlier before she committed suicide. Police investigations revealed that a man named Mahendra Rajput was allegedly blackmailing her and mentally harassing her. He had also physically assaulted her. Saroli police had filed a case against the accused and initiated further legal action.
