Yet another case has been filed in the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) to recover crores of rupees from a company in which Maulin Acharya, the son of former Gujarat Legislative Assembly Speaker and Kutch BJP leader Nimaben Acharya, is a director.

According to the petition filed by Siddhi Marine Services LLP, based in Jamnagar, Maulin Acharya is a director in RCC Ltd. (formerly Regal Shipping Private Limited), a Kutch-based company. Other directors of the company include Narendrasinh Rana, Dilip Shah, and Paras Chaudhary.

What’s the case?

Siddhi Marine Services LLP carried out cargo handling, stevedoring, and barge operations for RCC Ltd during 2016–17 and 2018–2021. While a partial payment was made by Regal Shipping in 2022, an outstanding amount of ₹6,95,88,716 including interest, remains unpaid.

As a result, Siddhi Marine Services LLP has filed a case with the NCLT to recover the due amount. Advocates Rajesh Savjani and Hiten Bhatt are representing the petitioner company in this case.

Notably, another company from Jamnagar, Shreeji Shipping, has also filed a separate case to recover approximately ₹8.5 crore from the same company where Maulin Acharya is a director.
