Amul fires over 150 youths from Thasara amid protests against chairman
In Thasara taluka of Kheda district, more than 150 youths were terminated from their jobs by Amul Dairy in Anand. The dismissal comes amid protests against the current chairman, with elections expected next year.
These youths, hired by Amul, were relieved from their jobs without prior notice, sparking discussions in the region.
Thasara is the stronghold of Amul’s former chairman Ramsingh Parmar, a former MLA of Thasara. The unexpected layoffs of these youths have raised questions.
With elections for Amul Dairy expected next year, the situation has sparked controversy, especially as more than 150 youths from Thasara, a key area of Parmar’s supporters, have been dismissed.
The abrupt sacking of these employees has fuelled further debate about the politics surrounding the current leadership at Amul.
