AMTS-BRTS commuters to get passes delivered at home, online service to begin from Dec 6

In a major convenience boost for commuters, AMTS and BRTS passes will now be available directly at home through a new online system launching on December 6. Over one lakh pass holders, including students, senior citizens, and daily commuters, are set to benefit from the move.
Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has introduced the I-PASS mobile application, allowing passengers to apply for new passes, renew existing ones, and receive digital passes without visiting any pass center. Users simply need to download the app, submit their details, and choose the online pass option to access the service from home.
Those who prefer physical passes can still obtain them from nine designated centers starting December 1, 2025. However, passengers must choose between an online or physical pass during application, as the type cannot be changed later. Existing physical pass holders can convert their pass into a digital version during renewal.
Physical passes will be available at centers including Ritz Hotel (Kalupur), Sarangpur, Vadaj, Akhbar Nagar, Vasna, Naroda, Bhakti Circle Terminus, Sarathi Bungalow, Chandkheda, and Maninagar Terminus.
All categories of AMTS, BRTS, and combo passes will now be issued online, a move expected to cut crowds at pass centers and eliminate long, time-consuming queues.
