Amreli letter row: BJP leader claims letter to be genuine, FSL reports still pending

In a recent development in the letter scam involving a woman from the Patidar community Payal Goti, who was arrested and allegedly assaulted by the police for typing a letter accusing a BJP leader, it has now been claimed that the Taluka Panchayat President had instructed her to type the letter and the letter is genuine.
It was further disclosed that Kishore Kanpariya had signed the letter.
Manish Vaghasia, a BJP leader, who was earlier arrested as an accused in the scam, claimed that the letter was genuine and was signed by Kanpariya.
After his release, Vaghasia issued a statement asserting that he had served as an RSS volunteer and as the district vice president of the BJP youth wing. He also informed the police that the letter was genuine and that the signature on it belonged to Kanpariya.
Despite the incident being over a month old, Amreli SP Sanjay Kharat stated that the FSL report on the signature and letter has yet to be officially released. Allegations have surfaced suggesting that political interference may be the reason for the delay.
Questions have also been raised about whether the police acted under the influence of BJP leaders, conducting the investigation without foreseeing the controversy it would generate.
As the internal BJP feud escalates over this high-profile letter controversy, all four accused have now been released from jail.
Earlier, Payal Goti, who was arrested at night and subjected to a public parade and physical assault, was found to have no charges substantiated against her, as per a police report submitted to the court.
