Amreli emerges as Gujarat’s coldest city at 13.2 Celsius

With winter setting in across Gujarat, Amreli recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 13.2°C, making it the coldest city in the state on Wednesday.

Residents in several parts of Gujarat also felt a noticeable nip in the air as temperatures hovered around 15°C.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), weather conditions across the state are expected to remain stable for the next seven days, indicating no major rise or drop in temperatures. Ahmedabad may see a marginal fall of about a degree in both minimum and maximum temperatures.

The department predicted that dry winds from the north and east will continue to prevail, keeping the overall atmosphere crisp and less humid. After Amreli, Gandhinagar and Rajkot were among the coldest places in the state.

Interestingly, Kutch’s Naliya, usually known for recording Gujarat’s lowest temperatures during winter, witnessed a slight increase this time. Coastal cities such as Okha (22.8°C) and Dwarka (20.6°C) reported higher minimum temperatures, while Kandla, Daman, and Veraval remained around 19°C.
