The municipal corporation’s health-malaria dept has undertaken this initiative to analyse the reason behind the increase in mosquito-borne diseases.

As per Bhavin Solanki, medical officer in-charge, AMC, "To identify the breed of mosquito causing the spike in dengue cases, we have collected serum samples from 197 dengue patients."
A total of 3994 serum samples have also been collected to identify dengue among people.
Samples of 840 female mosquitoes are also collected to identify the responsible breed.
Out of the water samples collected this year by the authorities, 213 water bodies showed a nil chlorine report in August, while 26 samples were declared unfit.
