AMC team removes encroachment, clear illegal parking in Thakkarbapa Nagar

In a coordinated effort to ease traffic congestion, the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC)’s Estate and Urban Development Department (North Zone), Nikol Police Station, and the 1st Division Traffic Police have launched a joint operation in the Thakkarbapanagar ward.

The multi-departmental team conducted intensive drives to remove road obstructions and clear illegal parking on the stretch from Thakkarbapanagar Bridge to Kothia Hospital and up to Canal Road. Authorities removed encroachments and took strict action against illegally parked vehicles by issuing challans and clamping/locking them.

The drive aims to significantly reduce traffic pressure and ensure smoother vehicular movement in the North Zone area. The joint actions will continue to maintain better traffic discipline and road safety for commuters.

Earlier on May 22, the AMC had removed illegal encroachment near the Memco bridge to Naroda Patiya via Saijpur tower and from Naroda Patiya to Memco Circle.
