AMC fails to approve 13 technology-related tenders

Despite claims of digital governance by the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC), 13 out of 20 e-tenders related to technology, issued in 2024, have not been approved. These tenders included crucial aspects like a monitoring system to track water levels in underpasses and the procurement of tablet computers for the tax department.
Advocate Atik Sayed pointed out that while the AMC talks about modernising primary services for citizens, technology-related tenders are not being approved.
In 2023, a tender for the purchase of 164 computers for the tax department was also not approved.

401 computers and 70 laser printers for NHL Medical College
2000 computers and 1300 laser printers for the municipality

Installation of the latest Autocad software in the Estate Department
ICT installation for Fire Services

System to monitor water levels in underpasses
