AMC extends deadline for paying impact fee by six months

Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has extended the deadline for paying the impact fee by another six months. So far, the AMC has received around 75,000 applications under the impact fee scheme.
The impact fee is collected to legalise unauthorised constructions. According to AMC records, out of the 75,000 applications received, 60,000 applications have been processed, and 21,651 applications have been approved. This scheme has generated a revenue of ₹258 crore for the AMC.
The South Zone saw the highest number of applications at 14,540, followed by 12,958 from the West Zone, and 11,583 from the North-West Zone. The Central Zone had the lowest number of approved applications at 535, while the North Zone reported the highest number of rejections, with 7,484 applications denied.
