AMC cracks down on enroachment, illegal parking, eases traffic chaos in Naroda

In a concerted drive to decongest key roads in the North Zone, a joint team comprising the Amdavad Municipal Corporation’s Estate and Urban Development Department, Naroda Police Station, and G-Division Traffic Police conducted a major operation against illegal parking and encroachments.
The team targeted the stretch from Naroda Fuwara Market to GEB Office Crossroads in Naroda Ward. The operation also covered the busy corridor from Naroda Swaminarayan Park to Naroda Vegetable Market, Vitthal Plaza, Naroda Dahegam Road, and up to Dahegam Circle.Officials removed vehicles parked illegally on the roadside, with several vehicles locked and challans issued to offenders.
The drive aimed to restore smooth traffic flow and ensure pedestrian safety in these densely populated commercial and residential pockets, which often witness severe congestion due to unchecked parking by market visitors and shopkeepers.
Local residents and commuters welcomed the initiative, noting that illegal parking had long hampered movement, especially during peak hours. AMC officials stated that such operations will continue to maintain road discipline and prevent future encroachments.
