In a significant move to streamline urban infrastructure, the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has successfully executed a major anti-encroachment drive in the Saijpur Tower area. Under the Town Planning (TP) Scheme authorities removed 75 illegal obstructions, successfully reclaiming approximately 15,000 square feet of space.

This strategic intervention has paved the way for a 100-foot-wide road, a vital development intended to alleviate persistent traffic congestion in the locality. By clearing these bottlenecks, the municipal body aims to ensure smoother vehicular movement and better connectivity for commuters. Furthermore, the expansion is expected to provide a crucial impetus to the development of the BRTS corridor, facilitating more efficient public transportation.

Earlier on May 22, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) had ramped up its efforts to tackle traffic congestion in the city’s North Zone with  clearing road encroachments. The initiative, focuses on improving traffic flow and ensuring smoother operations for public transport.
