AMC announces up to 15% rebate on advance property tax payment for FY 2026–27

The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has announced an advance property tax rebate scheme for the financial year 2026–27, offering relief to taxpayers who pay early.

Under the scheme, a rebate of up to 15% will be provided on advance tax payments made between April 9 and May 31, 2026. The civic body has fixed a base rebate of 12% for advance payments.

An additional 1% rebate will be given to those opting for online payment, taking the total benefit up to 13%. Further concessions will be extended to taxpayers who have consistently paid advance tax for three consecutive years, allowing the total rebate to reach up to 15%.

The AMC said the initiative aims to encourage early tax compliance while also promoting digital transactions.

Taxpayers can pay their property tax online through the official AMC website by entering their tenement number and completing the payment process.

* Select ‘Property Tax’

* Enter ‘Tenement Number’

* Verify details and pay online

The last date to avail of the rebate is May 31, 2026.
