Air India plane crash site at BJMC boys hostel, horrific visuals emerge

An Air India AI-171 flight, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, scheduled to fly from Ahmedabad to London, crashed during take-off at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport on Thursday afternoon. The incident occurred at approximately 1.38 pm, shortly after the aircraft began ascending.

According to preliminary information, within just two minutes of take-off, the rear portion of the aircraft reportedly collided with a tree, causing it to veer off course and crash into a structure of a B J Medical College and Civil hospital building near the airport premises.

The impact was severe, leading to injuries to multiple passengers and crew members. Emergency response teams were immediately deployed to the scene, and visuals from the crash site near the medical college are now emerging, showing extensive damage and thick black smoke rising from the wreckage.
