AMC presents ₹17,000 crore budget for Ahmedabad, sports infrastructure in focus

The draft budget of the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) for the financial year 2026-27 was presented today. Banchhanidhi Pani, Municipal Commissioner unveiled a draft budget of ₹17,018 crore, which includes several major announcements.

Construction of five railway overbridges and three flyovers has also been announced.
No increase in property tax this year.
The provision for an annual 2% tax hike, included in the budget two years ago, will not be applied this year.
