Ahmedabad’s 74 traffic junctions to undergo development worth ₹10 cr

A total of 74 traffic junctions of Ahmedabad are set for development worth ₹10 crore as per designs presented by Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat.

The engineering traffic department of Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) will develop important crossroads by constructing dedicated pedestrian crossings, signage, road markings, stop lines and zebra crossings.

Designs for a total of 29 junctions have been prepared for the first phase while in the second phase, 45 junctions will be developed.

The work of developing these 29 junctions is being carried out by the respective zonal engineering departments and the road projects department.

After two rounds of negotiations, the Road Committee has approved the work to be awarded to ‘Anaya Infracon’ at a cost of ₹10.52 crores (GST to be paid separately).
