At least 10 Ahmedabad-Vadodara schools receive bomb threats, students sent home, probe on

Bomb threat emails were received in at least 10 schools in Vadodara and Ahmedabad on Monday. A total of five schools in Ahmedabad and around 6 schools in Vadodara received emails threatening to blow them up, creating panic among authorities.
Ahmedabad schools that received threats
Five schools in Ahmedabad that received bomb threat emails include Asia School in Vastrapur, A One School in Satellite, DAV International School in Makarba, Tulip International School, and Ankur International School. Following the threats, the schools were evacuated and authorities began conducting intensive investigations.
Examinations were reportedly ongoing at DAV School. The school management has informed parents, and security personnel have cordoned off the area outside the school. Parents have started arriving at the schools after hearing about the threat emails.
Vadodara schools that received threats
In Vadodara, Urmi School, D R Amin School, Nalanda School, Jivansadhana School, Shannen School, and Navyug School received threatening emails about bombs. Following this, school management immediately sent students home. As a precautionary measure, the hostel of Urmi School has also been vacated.
Upon receiving information about the bomb threats, senior police officials along with a large team rushed to the locations. Considering the seriousness of the situation, Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) and dog squad teams are thoroughly inspecting the school premises.
Earlier, on January 23, 2026, several prominent schools in Ahmedabad had also received bomb threat emails. These included three branches of Sant Kabir School, DPS Bopal, St Xavier’s Loyola School in Navrangpura, Calorx School in Ghatlodia, Swaminarayan (Swayam) School in Vastrapur, and Apple Global School. Considering the seriousness of the situation, police, bomb squad, and crime branch teams were immediately deployed.
The threatening email reportedly stated: “Modi-Shah are enemies of Khalistan, save your children.”
