Ahmedabad to host grand Flower Show 2026 with over 170 theme-based sculptures

Ahmedabad is gearing up for the Flower Show 2026, which will feature over 170 theme-based sculptures created at a cost of several crores of rupees at the Sabarmati Riverfront.

According to civic officials, the upcoming edition will showcase sculptures inspired by diverse subjects including the Bodhi tree, lion, aeronautics, cricket, windmills, and solar panels.

For over 10 years, Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has been organising the annual flower show. In the 2025 edition, five zones displayed 35 sculptures on various themes. For the 2026 show, the event will expand to six zones, featuring more than 170 sculptures.

The AMC’s Parks and Gardens Department has invited Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to design and install sculptures based on different creative themes. Each sculpture will be measured and approved by architects before being placed at the venue.

This year’s show will also celebrate India’s cultural diversity, with sculptures themed around festivals such as Diwali, Uttarayan, and Onam. Highlights will include a Kerala-style boat and sculptures depicting dancing women, reflecting traditional art and heritage.

The Flower Show has become one of Ahmedabad’s most anticipated annual events, attracting thousands of visitors with its artistic installations and vibrant floral displays.
