Ahmedabad tech entrepreneur accuses ex-employee from Jharkhand of harassment, extortion threats

A 28-year-old cyber security entrepreneur from Ahmedabad has lodged a police complaint against his former employee and her family, alleging harassment, threats of false cases, and attempts at extortion.
According to the FIR registered at Satellite police station, the complainant, Khushik Rajeshbhai Gohil, who runs a cyber security and IT firm Keyzotric Intelligence Pvt Ltd, stated that he had employed Anjali Rajesh Goswami, a resident of Dhanbad, Jharkhand, at his company’s Jamshedpur office in 2021. She was later shifted to Ahmedabad, where she worked until February 2025, drawing a salary of up to ₹75,000 per month.
In his complaint, Gohil alleged that during her tenure, Anjali developed close ties with his family and eventually pressured him to marry her. When he refused, she allegedly began threatening him and his parents, demanding money, and warning that she would implicate him in false cases if her demands were not met.
Gohil further stated that despite being paid her full salary until June 2025 and receiving a bonus of ₹3 lakh during her employment, Anjali and her mother Sarita continued to demand money. He alleged that they threatened to defame him on social media, file false police complaints, and even warned of suicide if their demands were not fulfilled.
The accused allegedly pressured him with photographs in her possession and attempted to coerce him into marriage. Gohil said that since her termination on February 17, 2025, he has been receiving repeated calls and messages from Anjali, her mother Sarita, and her father Rajesh Goswami allegedly harassing and intimidating him.
Police officials said that they have taken note of the WhatsApp messages cited by the complainant as evidence. An inquiry has been initiated into the allegations.
