Ahmedabad SOG seizes cannabis worth rs 60500 from Chharanagar woman
Accused Nisha Satishbhai Sabaria held with cannabis from Chharanagar

In an ongoing crackdown on the narcotics trade within city limits, the Special Operations Group (SOG) of Ahmedabad City Crime Branch seized cannabis worth ₹60,500 from a residence in the Chharanagar area on August 1.

Acting on credible intelligence, a team of SOG raided a house near the Kubernagar railway crossing in Navkholi's Chali, Sardarnagar.

The accused, identified as Nisha Satishbhai Sabaria (35), was allegedly found in possession of 6.5 kg of ganja (cannabis) with an estimated street value of ₹60,500. Alongside the narcotics, additional paraphernalia worth ₹10,420 was also recovered.

A case has been registered at the Ahmedabad City DCB police station under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and further investigation is on.

As per the initial investigation, Nisha reportedly received bulk quantities of ganja from unidentified associates who remain at large. She would then divide the narcotics into smaller packets for sale in the local market, allegedly distributing them through street-level peddlers. Authorities believe this retail operation had been running for some time in the Chharanagar locality.
