Ahmedabad shivers at season’s lowest 11.8°C

As winter settles in Gujarat, Ahmedabad sees the coldest night at 11.8°C, and Naliya froze at 6.5°C on Tuesday.
Naliya’s minimum temperature has fallen by more than 3°C in the last two days.
Ahmedabad witnessed a biting cold on Tuesday night due to the gusty winds. The average maximum temperature in Ahmedabad is 30°C and the minimum temperature is 15°C. The Indian Meteorological Department, Ahmedabad predicted that the average minimum temperature in Ahmedabad will be around 14°C for the next 3 days.
Notably, on December 27, 1983, Ahmedabad recorded an average minimum temperature of 3.6°C.
“Cold wave conditions are likely to prevail in Kutch on Wednesday and Thursday,” said IMD, Ahmedabad.
The cities that recorded less than 12°C temperature include Gandhinagar, Rajkot, Deesa, Bhuj and Amreli.
