Regular checks and campaigns notwithstanding, Ahmedabad Railway Division continues to grapple with large-scale ticketless travel. In November alone, over 33,000 passengers were caught travelling without tickets, resulting in fines amounting to ₹2.43 crore.

Special drives were conducted at Ahmedabad, Mehsana, Gandhidham, Palanpur, Sabarmati, Maninagar and Viramgam stations. Officials said that, despite continuous monitoring, unauthorised travel remained a persistent issue.

The division earned ₹152 crore from ticket sales in November, with 34.90 lakh passengers travelling during the month. Freight revenue touched ₹628.68 crore, a 13.25% rise compared to November 2024. Recent initiatives include refrigerated reefer container freight from Sanand to Pipavav Port and dedicated rakes for salt, bentonite, and fertiliser.
