The Ahmedabad traffic police have announced a traffic advisory ahead of the T20 World Cup final between India and New Zealand, scheduled to be played on March 8 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

With more than one lakh spectators and several VIP guests expected to attend the match, the Ahmedabad police and the district administration have put in place elaborate measures to ensure smooth movement and public safety.

To prevent congestion around the stadium, the police commissioner has issued a notification declaring certain routes as “no entry” zones during the match.

According to the notification, the stretch from Janpath T-junction to the main gate of Motera Stadium, Krupa Residency, and further up to Motera village will remain completely closed for vehicular traffic from 10:00 am on Sunday until 2:00 am on Monday.

As several roads leading to the stadium will be closed, motorists have been advised to use alternative routes. Vehicles travelling from Tapovan Circle and Visat Junction can proceed towards the Power House via Janpath. From Prabodh Rawal Circle, commuters can travel towards Bhat–Koteshwar Road or Apollo Circle via Krupa Residency.

More than 800 traffic police personnel will be deployed across key junctions and access points to regulate traffic and assist commuters.

Multiple parking areas have been designated around the stadium to accommodate spectators’ vehicles and ensure smooth access to the venue. Authorities have urged visitors to follow traffic advisories and cooperate with officials to avoid inconvenience during the event.
