Ahmedabad Police crack down on two gambling dens, cash, valuables totalling ₹33 lakh seized

Ahmedabad Police busted two high-stakes gambling dens in separate raids on Thursday, seizing over ₹33 lakh in cash and valuables and arresting 20 people.
In the first case, Anandnagar police raided a flat at Satatya Heights in Jodhpur following a tip-off from residents.
Acting on the information, Police Inspector V J Chaudhary and his team raided flat number 801, where they found organiser Jignesh Patel and nine others gambling.
Police seized ₹7.57 lakh from the gambling table and an additional ₹50,000 commission amount from Patel. The total seizure — including cash, mobile phones, and two luxury cars — is valued at ₹32 lakh.
Preliminary investigation revealed that gamblers were provided with food and other arrangements at the flat.

In another case, Naroda police raided an office at Pancham Enterprise in Man Sarovar Complex, near Naroda char rasta, following information that Bhavin Patel, a resident of Science City Road, was hosting gambling sessions there. Officers seized ₹1.23 lakh in cash and arrested 10 people from the spot.
