Ahmedabad plane crash: Same ill-fated Air India flight faced technical issues earlier

The same Air India flight from Ahmedabad to London that crashed on Thursday, had previously faced technical issues on May 1, leading to its cancellation.

As reported by Gujarat Samachar on May 2, the London-bound flight was again cancelled after passengers were made to sit inside the aircraft for over two hours without air conditioning.

Air India Flight AI-171, scheduled to depart at 1.10 pm, was delayed for two hours after boarding had already taken place. Later, it was announced that the flight was being cancelled due to technical issues, and passengers were assured of a refund.

Before that, in December 2024, the same flight, initially scheduled for Thursday (December 12) at 1.30 pm but was delayed due to technical issues. It later departed on Friday (December 13) afternoon at 1.41 pm, with 300 passengers on-board.
