From July 7, 2025, the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK-1) at Mithakali, Ahmedabad has been relocated to White House, Bapunagar.
Applicants with appointments scheduled on or after this date are advised to visit the new Bapunagar centre at their assigned time.
The statement from the PSK read, “Regional Passport Office, Ahmedabad, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) is shifting its Passport Seva Kendra, Mithakali, Ahmedabad to Passport Seva Kendra, White House, Bapunagar, Ahmedabad–380024, Gujarat. The Passport Seva Kendra at Bapunagar would commence operation with effect from Monday 07.07.2025”.
“All applicants who have scheduled their appointments on or after 07.07.2025 at PSK–1 (Mithakali) are hereby requested to visit the Passport Seva Kendra, Bapunagar at scheduled date and time as per their application Receipt,” it added.
Officials said that with the opening of the new passport center, 600 people were given appointments for passports on the first day itself. 36 different counters have been set up in 3 wings here. This service center will save time of applicants through online appointment system, fingerprint and document verification process. Seating arrangement, drinking water facility has also been made available for applicants in this center.
A trial run was also done with applicants on Sunday before the official launch. With the upgraded infrastructure, this center is expected to be able to process more than 800 applications per day in the coming days.
The move, reportedly is taken to serve the passport applicants in the East of Ahmedabad, who earlier had to travel to the Mithakali for their appointments.
With this, two PSKs will operate in Ahmedabad, one at Vijay Crossroads where applications from the West will be served, and the other at the Bapunagar centre.
