Ahmedabad Metro train services extended till 11 pm from May 18, 15 additional trains added

Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to reduce the use of personal vehicles and opt for public transport amid the oil crisis, metro train services in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar have been extended by one hour. From May 18 onwards, the last metro trains on both the East-West and North-South corridors will now depart at 11 pm.

According to Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation, the extension in operating hours will add 15 extra metro services, benefiting hundreds of daily commuters. However, demands are now growing for metro services to be permanently extended till midnight.

Under the revised schedule

The last metro train from Vastral Gam and Thaltej Gam stations will depart at 11 pm. Additional services will now be available at 10.20 pm, 10.40 pm and 11 pm.

The last train from APMC station will depart at 11.10 pm. Additional services from APMC to Koteshwar will operate at 10.30 pm, 10.50 pm and 11.10 pm.

The last metro from Koteshwar to APMC will depart at 11 pm, with additional services at 10.20 pm, 10.40 pm and 11 pm.

The last train from Koteshwar to Mahatma Mandir will depart at 9.20 pm, with extra services at 8.17 pm and 9.20 pm.

The last metro from Mahatma Mandir to Koteshwar will depart at 9 pm and will continue onward towards APMC after Koteshwar.
