During the IPL final on June 3, 2.11 lakh passengers were recorded.
Improvements to boost metro usage
The last train from Vastral Gaam to Thaltej and from APMC to Thaltej currently runs at 10 pm. Commuters are demanding that this be extended to midnight.
The last metro from GIFT City departs at 6:25 pm. This could be extended to 10 pm. Moreover, many metro stations lack parking facilities. Plans to introduce food courts at metro stations have been under discussion for a long time, but implementation is still pending.
