Ahmedabad girl missing for six years found by anti-human trafficking team from Khambhat

A 22-year-old woman who went missing from Ahmedabad six years ago, when she was 17, has been found by the anti-human trafficking team from Khambhat.
The Ahmedabad Crime Branch and Anti- Human Trafficking department had launched an investigation into the missing person case in Sarkhej area, from where the girl had gone missing in January 2020. Based on available documents and information, Police Inspector H C Zala launched the search.
During the investigation, the police received information that the missing girl was in Khambhat. Acting on this intel, the team raided a location and found her with a man named Santosh Bhuvaji.
It was later revealed during questioning that she had a boyfriend named Surendrasinh. On January 20, she had stepped out to buy gifts for her brother when Surendrasinh arrived and took her to Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, in a car. She stayed there with him for two years before they shifted to Vadodara.
After they shifted to Vadodara, Surendrasinh allegedly abused her and beat her after consuming alcohol. Later, she fell in love with Santosh Bhuvaji and started living with him. The police found her there.
