Ahmedabad gets a floating cruise restaurant on the Sabarmati Riverfront

A river cruise was virtually inaugurated by union home minister Amit Shah at the Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad today. The river cruise restaurant is a joint venture between a private travel agency, the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC), and the Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation.
About the cruise
The floating restaurant is a cruise vessel that will cater for one and a half hours of journey to 125-150 people at once, providing meals, too. The cruise includes emergency rescue boats, 180 life jackets, a fire sprinkler system, and other safety features.
The cruise was prepared with an estimated cost of ₹12 to ₹15 crore. It will be operational for the public from today itself, and the tickets for the same can be booked online and offline.
