Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has finalised the entry ticket rates for the Ahmedabad International Flower Show 2026, scheduled to be held in the first week of January, with prices seeing a marginal increase of ₹10 compared to last year.

The revised rates were approved by the AMC’s Recreation, Cultural and Heritage Committee at its meeting held on December 24. The committee’s recommendations will be placed before the Standing Committee for final approval.

As per the decision, visitors aged 12 years and above will have to pay ₹80 for entry from Monday to Friday, while the ticket price for Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays has been fixed at ₹100. Last year, the corresponding rates were lower by ₹10.

Children studying in AMC-run schools will be allowed free entry throughout the event. For children from schools not run by the civic body, the ticket price has been fixed at ₹10. In addition, children aged 12 years and below, persons with disabilities and soldiers will be given free entry on all days.

To regulate crowd flow during peak hours, the civic body has also introduced a higher-priced ‘prime time’ slot. Visitors wishing to enter the flower show between 8 am and 9 am, and again between 10 am and 11 am, will have to pay ₹500 for a ticket.

Committee chairman Jayesh Trivedi said the pricing was aimed at striking a balance between affordability for the general public and better crowd management during peak hours. “The Flower Show attracts lakhs of visitors every year. The slight revision in ticket rates and the introduction of a prime-time slot will help manage rush while ensuring wider public participation,” Trivedi said.

The Flower Show, one of Ahmedabad’s most popular annual attractions, showcases themed floral installations, exotic flower varieties and landscaped gardens. Civic officials said detailed arrangements regarding venue logistics, security and visitor facilities are being finalised ahead of the event.

The AMC has clarified that tickets for other attractions, such as the Atal Bridge, if applicable, will have to be purchased separately.
