Ahmedabad airport crosses one crore passenger mark in eight months

Passenger traffic at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, Ahmedabad, has crossed the one-crore mark in the last eight months.

On average, around 37,000 passengers travel daily through approximately 280 flights operating from the airport.

During the financial year 2024–25, Ahmedabad airport recorded passenger movement of 1.36 crore. Airport officials attribute the growth to the launch of new routes and increased flight frequencies.

New destinations added over the past year include Agartala, Dibrugarh, Jamnagar, Purnia, Hindon, Navi Mumbai and Coimbatore.

Additionally, flight frequencies have been increased to major domestic and international destinations such as Goa, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Don Mueang, Bangkok and other hubs, significantly boosting connectivity.
