Amid the growing outcry over safety standards in public spaces after the Rajkot fire tragedy, authorities at the Ambaji temple have expressed concern over the safety of the visiting devotees.
Vipul Gurjar, president of the Ambaji Consumer Advice and Protraction Center, wrote a letter to the district collector.
Through his letter, Gurjar addressed a fear of an imminent accident as the hotels, dDharamshalas, rest houses, hospitals, and shops at the pilgrim destination lack sufficient fire safety.
Through the letter, he has urged the government to take advance measures in this matter and take strict action against the violators.
This issue has gained significant moss across the state after the Rajkot game zone tragedy which took 28 lives on May 25.
Ripples of this horrendous incident have reached several game zones and public spaces in Ahmedabad, Surat, and other cities, which are seeing authorities on their toes over safety vigilance.
