In Gujarat, Adani Gas has once again increased CNG prices by ₹2 per kilogram, further intensifying pressure on consumers already struggling with rising living costs. With the latest revision, the price of Adani CNG has now reached ₹88.02 per kg.

The latest hike means that CNG prices in Gujarat have already increased by a massive ₹8.60 per kg since the beginning of 2026.

This is the second CNG price hike in May itself. Earlier, on May 16, the company had increased rates by ₹2.25 per kg. The back-to-back revisions have sparked frustration among vehicle owners, particularly auto-rickshaw drivers, cab operators and middle-class commuters who had shifted to CNG vehicles to reduce fuel expenses.

Earlier on Tuesday in Delhi and NCR regions, Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has also raised CNG prices by ₹2 per kg.

Gas distribution companies have largely blamed international market conditions for the continuous increase in CNG rates.

As the dollar becomes stronger, importing gas becomes more expensive for Indian companies, ultimately leading to higher fuel prices for consumers.
